Our History
Established in 2010, the Silicon Valley Association for Financial Professionals was created to serve the needs of local corporate finance professionals seeking a more targeted, regional network. Over the years, SVAFP has built a reputation for high-quality programming, distinguished guest speakers, and a welcoming, tight-knit professional community.
We are proud to be affiliated with the national Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), which supports finance leaders across the U.S. and globally.

Welcome to the Silicon Valley Association for Finance Professionals (SVAFP)!
Over the past few years, like many organizations, SVAFP experienced a pause in programming due to a series of unforeseen circumstances. During that time, our leadership team took the opportunity to reflect, regroup, and reimagine how we can best serve the Treasury and Finance community here in the South Bay.
We’re excited to announce that SVAFP is back, with renewed purpose and energy. Our mission remains clear: to empower finance professionals at every stage of their career through meaningful networking, ongoing education, and robust career development opportunities.
We’re rebuilding a dynamic platform where members can:
